New on My Etsy Shop: Bedazzled Copy of Rupi Kaur!

I just finished a new hand-decorated book cover, which is up for sale on my Etsy shop. It’s my take on the 10th anniversary edition of Rupi Kaur’s Milk and Honey, which was released in 2024 with a special cover design and over 40 new poems. I have read my copy of the original edition so many times, and I feel like Kaur’s poetry deserves some sparkle.

The hand-drawn bee outlines gave me a lot of trouble, so I had to do some trial & error with different kinds of jewels until I ended on a classic black-and-yellow striped design. At the end, I added a final touch of pizzaz: a strip of rhinestones right along the front edge of the spine.

This one took a lot of time and attention, especially in the tight areas around the lettering, where the author’s name overlaps the title. Ultimately, it was a super fun little project, and I’m really happy with the results.
